Ingredients



We recommend using the following branded ingredients for this recipe:


C&H Powdered Sugar

Duncan Hines Chocolate Cake Mix

Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

Kahlua Liqueur

Philadelphia Cream Cheese (8 oz.)

  • 3 egg(s)
  • 1 1/4 cups coffee
  • 1 cup C&H Powdered Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Crisco Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Duncan Hines Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1/3 cup Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp. Kahlua Liqueur
  • 1 package Philadelphia Cream Cheese (8 oz.)


Preparation




  1. Brew the coffee and let cool. Prepare cupcakes according to package directions, substituting the coffee for the water in the recipe.

  2. Meanwhile, prepare the frosting as follows: Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa, and Kahlua with mixer, adding more confectioners sugar to gain desired consistency if necessary.

  3. Once cooled, frost cupcakes with frosting.





Cook's Notes



You can garnish with chocolate covered espresso beans, if desired. It's also fun to make mini cupcakes.
