Apple Walnut Cobbler

Apple Walnut Cobbler

I got this from my mom, who got it from her mom. I love to experiment with various pie fillings, but apple walnut has become our family fave.

Ingredients

We recommend using the following branded ingredients for this recipe:

C&H Sugar

Martha White Flour

McCormick Cinnamon

Musselman's Apple Pie Filling (21 oz.)

Planters Walnut Pieces (2.3 oz.)

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup C&H Sugar
  • 1 stick Land-O-Lakes Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Martha White Flour
  • 1 tsp. McCormick Cinnamon
  • 1 can Musselman's Apple Pie Filling (21 oz.)
  • 1/2 cup Planters Walnut Pieces (2.3 oz.)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Melt butter in a casserole dish.

  3. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and milk in mixing bowl. Pour mixture in casserole dish with melted butter. Gently spoon pie filling into dish then sprinkle nuts on top.

  4. Bake for 50 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.

Cook's Notes

I like to melt the butter in the oven as it preheats and I mix the other ingredients. This recipe can also be used with any other pie filling or even canned fruit such as peaches. Great served hot with vanilla ice cream.
